Using your skis or a snowboard, on the other hand, is all about controlling your speed and momentum while gliding down more slippery spots. Riding a bike in the snow, for example, is a recipe for disaster best avoided. Riding a bike is all about the accuracy and management of your traffic resistance meter, which becomes more challenging depending on your terrain. Whether you’re taking air in a snowboard trick competition or flying through the air in a wingsuit race, each of the Riders Republic sports is a blast. Riders Republic sticks a lot to the existing open world racing game formula that we’ve seen many times before, but having an extreme sports version of those racers isn’t a bad thing. Difficult activities as you go, only instead of driving cross-country vehicles, you’ll switch between a bike, wingsuit, snowboard, and pair of skis to scream down the mountain. Riders Republic uses a structure that will be highly recognizable if you’ve played any of the The Crew or Forza Horizon games: you explore a beautiful open world, take part in exciting races and stunt contests, search for collectibles, and unlock better gear and more. Whether I was flying skyward in my rocket-propelled wingsuit or sweating bullets while completing obstacle courses on my bike, Riders Republic woke up the extreme sports fan inside me and kept me hooked for over 60 hours and counting. It’s a somewhat familiar formula, but what’s really impressive is that (with the notable occasional gambling accident aside) it is overwhelmingly successful in providing the ultimate downhill sports fantasy. of extreme sporting events so over the top it would make you blush in the late 90s. We'll have our review soon as servers begin to populate and we're able to test out the multiplayer aspects as they are intended to be played: with people.Following in the footsteps of Ubisoft’s The Crew series, Rider’s Republic aims to tuck the engine of a high-octane arcade racer under the hood of a sprawling online open world, except this time the engine is your legs and the hood. The extreme sports multiplayer online game has released across the Xbox and PlayStation familes of consoles, as well as PC, Amazon Luna and Google Stadia. You can check out Riders Republic on the official website. Steven also praises the work Ubisoft have done to recreate the world of Riders Republic, specifically calling attention to the fact that the studio took real elevation data to recreate places like Yosemite. We previewed the title back in August, with our writer (and current reviewer) Steven stating that Riders Republic was the "best extreme sports multiplayer online game by a steep margin," a throw back to Ubisoft's prior winter sports title, Steep. Riders Republic is set in an open world, though the various sports activities will take players to different locales, all inspired by US National parks like Zion and Bryce Canyon. The game is propped up as a massively multiplayer sports game, with 50 player races as well as competitive 6v6 modes to test your skills against others online. Riders Republic has been somewhat overshadowed by the release of Far Cry 6 earlier this month, but the multiplayer sports title boasts multiple sports players can participate in against each other. The key thing with Bullet journalling, or rather it's primary goal was list making. You can have it hard backed, spiral bound or even stapled. To have a look at some of the wonderful discbound planners and accessories I have in stock click here!īullet Journalling, Or BuJu, is a style of planning which can be as simple or complex as you like. This one is a business planner I created for a customer. This one is of the Happy Planner which I transformed into a health planner. Here are a couple of examples or Discbound planners. The planner becomes flimsy if there isn't much in it and it also becomes unrealistic if you try to cram too much in it (you can get different sized rings which help) The holes can get a bit worn and pages can become loose if used a lot. The Americans seem to have access to the most wonderful accessories and ridiculously low prices (very envious!) There are still nice ones here however but not as many Lots of accessories available! (I mean loads! Happy Planner is American so it is harder to get some supplies but Staples sells Arc supplies) These planners are similar to the ring bound, you can move your pages around easily enough and remove or add insertsĬan be used for day to day planning or memory planning (although you can get really creative!) Have a look at my Carpe Diem business planner set up here To add your own inserts you will need to purchase a holepunch that can punch the correct distance So a day a page insert will pretty much fill it up. There is only so much you can put in them. You can get ringbound planners in a variety of sizes you never know when you need to drop one of those! The cover usually has handy pockets on the inside, great for storing business cards. There are lots of things you can bling your planner up with including decals for the cover. You can remove pages you have used or don't need easily You can move your inserts around easily until you find an order you are happy with. Places like WHSmiths, Paperchase and Amazon are all good places to look for inexpensive inserts. Or you can pop me a message and I can find a few to suit. You can often buy planners with diary inserts in place and a few blank pages from high street shops. The idea with these planners is to customise them yourself. Ring bound planners usually have 6 rings inside that open so you can pop in whatever inserts you wish. So today I thought I would show you a little look at my portrait style as it has changed over the years and how they look now. but I will tell you more about that another time or you will be sooooooo bored of such a long wordy post! I also discovered a wonderful new plan formed. If I realistically charged for all the time a portrait took, with all the redos and customers wanting last minute changes no one could afford it! But, if I drew it digitally I could easily make these alterations, reduce my time and the pain in my hands. What do you think? I started to realise that it isn't always the way you make something but the results with some handmade items. But my heart felt it wasn't truly hand made, that customers wouldn't expect something digital to be hand drawn. My brain wanted to be practical and produce top quality portraits every time. It was a real battle with my brain and heart though. Some portraits could easily take several hours just because of a tiny mistake.Īs you can imagine this had to stop, or at least change! My original method was to sketch on paper, get approval from the customer, make any changes if needed, then scanning, redrawing and then colouring (and that was on a good day, often the pen might slip as my hands hurt, or I would draw a line a little too thick or occasionally take a pen lid off and it explode. Well in an attempt to be more consistent with my illustration I have moved to using an IPad Pro for all my designing and then printing on top quality card rather than all hand drawing. Don't even get me started on the brain fog, I have to write everything down otherwise it's instantly forgotten. I noticed I was getting increasing pain in my hands and my eyesight was getting worse so I found I was making more mistakes. I was also diagnosed with Fibro this year and it made me reevaluate a few things. This year has been pretty hectic, lots of orders, new products and kids keeping me occupied. So what's been going on I might hear you ask? How have you been? (I guess I'm not really expecting an answer, I have deserted you for quite a while now it seems! Table from 1.11 works fine for me on 1.13. Highfleet buffs.rar (3.2 KiB) Downloaded 39 times Besides, did some testing, if you stack over 500+ Firepower stat(aka too many guns) your game starts to lose a lot of framerate/FPS during battles, and i have a decent gaming PC too. NOTE: This is patch 1.12 version of the file, any future updates/patches to the game will most likely cause this file to not work, or crash your game.ĮDIT 1: Im just going to leave it as it is, its cheaty enough. So you'll still be the most powerful ship on the block even with these changes.Įxtract OL.seria into the HighFleet\Libraries and overrite - DO NOT forget to make a copy of the orginal for backup. From what Ive read on the discord modding page for Highfleet, these changes also affect the AI, but their ships are not randomly generated, so im fairly confident the changes to the modules wont give the AI ships super powers aka you wont see an AI ship with a thousand guns and only 1 module of each. Now go and build yourself a monster of a battleship!. I really wanted to create a ship with a crapton of guns without all the constraints, so i editted this file with a text editor and changed the following. I like the game very much, but at the same time, there's a lot that kinda pisses me off about it. There's also hint of a strategy layer in forming the relationships with the various warlords, but again, no explanation how that exactly works and what does it affects either. Thanks to the unusual (but awesome) graphics, it's not exactly obvious what modules can you repair/modify/replace, or even what exactly is a module and what isn't. The carrier movement on the map is self-explanatory, but editing/modding the crafts really isn't. True, modern games usually go in the other extreme, they overexplain, but i wouldn't mind if there was some sort of tutorial in Highfleet. There's a ton of exposition and ingame mechanics dumped on you right at the start and there's almost nonexistent handholding. Turns out the same developer made Highfleet. The lore, the graphics, the storytelling and the overall style of the game reminded me the old indie classic Hammerfight. I really love the gritty graphics and the overall vibe. I love the game visuals and the overall feeling, but i don't really have the time to commit and try to git gud, sooooo cheatin' it is! If we could get an updated table, that would be amazing. Yeah, the 1.11 table wreaks all sorts of havoc on Highfleet 1.12 - not really usable. On the tour, Stacie had told me about Tarot card reader Mary Shimp, who comes in every Thursday to do individual readings. Tarot, Lenormand and Crystal Ball reader Mary Shimp offers readings in a small back room of the Senior Center every Thursday. (They’re currently waiting on a building permit to begin construction on a new Center next to the Saratoga YMCA.) “A lot of the members don’t want to say ‘senior center,’” Stacie tells me. Instead, Marketing and Outreach Coordinator Stacie Barnes gave me a tour of the space, which, it was clear to see, the Center has outgrown. Unfortunately, Liam, the Skidmore student who teaches the class (and whom some of the seniors find cute) wasn’t in that day. I showed up to the Center at 9am, just so I could get my bearings before the 9:15am start of Japan and its Culture class. This past Thursday, I spent the entire day at the Senior Center, participating in any and every activity I could Lois and her staff pretty much gave me free reign. Ceramics? Trivia nights? Van trips? Book Club? I’m so in.Īnd so, naturally, I used Saratoga Living After Hours as an excuse to get myself in there, despite being a couple decades too young (the center is open to people 50 and older, who can join for just $25 a year). Usually, the starting price is less than $15 and increases from there with quality. It’ll probably even come with a small protective case, for well under $100. If you are looking for an intro harmonica, you should be able to find one that meets your needs. It is easy to get a one that is inexpensive but still can sound great while you play. How Much Does a Diatonic Harmonica Cost?ĭiatonic harmonicas are relatively small instruments and are made out of affordable materials most of the time. Although it takes skill to play any instrument well, harmonica or otherwise, if you are unwilling to put the time into mastering bending the sound on a diatonic harmonica, you will be limiting its capacity greatly, but a chromatic harmonica will have many options for you to play original notes simply. Cons of Diatonic Harmonicaīeginners may find more challenges with a diatonic harmonica than a chromatic one. Although it may be tempting to purchase a diatonic harmonica to be the next Bruce Springsteen, keep in mind that just because an instrument makes a noise does not mean that you will be able to produce it. This is a technique that must be learned and then practiced if you want it to get it right. This is what gives blues harmonicas such a unique, wailing sound in some of their more passionate pieces that is incomparable to other instruments.Īlthough many people choose the diatonic harmonica because they want to be able to bend sound, it is not always possible. It is a technical phrase that refers to a certain way of blowing into the air holes of the harmonic so you are able to change the pitch of each of the notes on the diatonic scale. What Does a Diatonic Harmonica Sound Like?īending the sound is what makes the harmonic sound so famous for genres such as the blues. The main appeal of the diatonic harmonic to these artists is how you are able to bend the sound. These include Bob Dylan, Charlie McCoy, and more. Although it is possible to play these styles of music on any type of harmonic, famous harmonica players of these genres almost exclusively use the diatonic harmonica.
